George Street Quarter: Church Square, Duke Steet and Church Street have had new-ish attention lavished on them with street furniture, new exteriors, renovated paving and safe parking.

Church Street Shopping Centre is the main shopping focal point here, with virtually 100 outlets from River Island and HMV to Bay Trading and BHS. It is also the area for the very best restaurants, with Chinese, Thai, French, Italian, Spanish and British fare on offer. Excellent food in fantastic surroundings.

St. Helens Festival: A two-day summer extravaganza, this is a terrific exhibit for the town, featuring the best in "heritage, culture, arts and music to sport, craft and entertainment" with the guarantee of "amazing stunts" besides.

Property Types St Helens North

Clinkham Wood and Moss Bank are St. Helens only estates north of the East Lancs Road. They now have excellent road links and the expansive Carr Mill Dam functions as a local country park.

Property is made up of inter-war semis, bright new estates, post-war bungalows, cottages and barn conversions, and numerous garages and big home gardens indicate the simple fact that these two locations are enclosed by country side on three sides.

Rugby: St Helens RLFC have over 50 titles to their name, founded in 1873, they have participated in 19 Challenge Cup Finals and were the first team to win anything at the new Wembley Stadium, before going on to conquer the Brisbane Broncos and becoming crowned world champions. Rugby is big business in St Helens.

Obviously, there's a glut of recreational sides in town: Clock Face, Thatto Heath, Blackbrook, the Bold Miners, Pilking Recs, Haresfinch and Haydock.
